Custom Compounding, Material Replacement & Colour Matching

What problem are you trying to solve? Polimatrix is built around customer engineering requirements, not generic product catalogues: developing a custom compound, replacing a legacy grade, reverse-engineering a component, or matching a colour with masterbatch.

Custom Compound Engineering & Problem Solving
Custom formulation, reverse engineering & grade replacement
Application-Tailored Formulation

Need a Material That Doesn’t Exist Off-the-Shelf? We Develop It.

Polimatrix engineers custom thermoplastic compounds directly from customer component requirements. We tailor polymer molecular weights, reinforcement fractions, elastomeric modifiers, and functional additive packages to match your component’s exact geometric and mechanical stress case.

The 7-Step Compound Development ArchitectureStages 01 – 07

02
Target Property Profiling & Resin Matrix Selection
Selecting pristine virgin polymer backbones (ABS, PC, SAN, PA6, PA66, PP) with targeted melt flow index (MFI) to fill complex tool cavities.
03
Molecular Formulation & Additive Architecture
Compounding with functional coupling agents for glass fibre-matrix adhesion, impact modifiers for toughness, and synergistic flame-retardant (FR) additive packages.
04
Development Trial Compounding
Compounding initial trial formulations with controlled melt temperature profiles and thorough additive dispersion.
05
Laboratory Empirical Testing
Testing injection-moulded specimens using ASTM standard test methods to verify tensile strength, flexural modulus, Izod impact, VSP, and flammability against the target specification.
06
Tool Try-Out & Injection Moulding Trial
Our application engineers assist to dial in barrel temperatures, injection pressures, cooling cycle times, and dimensional tolerances on actual tooling.
07
Commercial Production Grade Release
Scaling up to commercial batch consistency with locked compounding controls and comprehensive lot traceability for continuous dispatch.

Physical Sample Replication

Reverse Engineering from a Physical Part or Competitor Sample

Have a moulded component, competitor sample, or imported part with no available datasheet? Our technical team performs physical, thermal, and ash testing to identify the polymer backbone, filler content, and additives, engineering a matching or improved replacement compound.

01
Sample Intake & Logging

Send an intact moulded component, runner, or 500 g clean regrind sample to our Bawal or Sonipat facility.

02
Polymer Identification & Ash Testing

Physical and rheological testing identifies base polymer matrix; high-temperature muffle furnace ash testing determines exact glass fibre or mineral percentage; MFI determines melt viscosity.

03
Synergistic Re-Formulation

Our technical team reconstructs the polymer formulation using virgin base polymers, coupling agents, and stabilization packages to meet benchmark requirements.

04
Validation & Prototype Sampling

We compound an evaluation trial batch and test specimens to compare tensile, impact, and thermal parameters directly against your physical benchmark part.

Sample Intake Guidelines
Minimum Sample Size:1 complete moulded part or at least 300–500 grams of material.
Turnaround Time:Initial polymer identification & filler analysis conducted upon sample intake and technical review.

Precise Colour Development

Your Part. Your Colour.

Polimatrix provides both in-house colour masterbatches and pre-coloured compound formulations. Masterbatches are concentrated pigment and additive pellets dosed at 1%–5% into base plastic during moulding, while pre-coloured compounds are fully compounded for 100% shade consistency across large visible housings.

Natural Base Compounds

Unpigmented virgin engineering polymer compound ready for direct natural moulding or in-house masterbatch letdown.

Deep Jet Black

High-jetness furnace carbon black dispersions engineered for UV stability and surface gloss.

Signature Blue (SAN GF)

Specialized formulation specifically developed for HVAC indoor cross-flow fan blades and rotating air assemblies.

Custom Match (RAL / Pantone)

Custom-matched masterbatches and pre-coloured compounds developed to meet your target shade and tolerance requirements.
